STEAM Education

We strive to provide an innovative and stimulating environment. We encourage our children to think outside the box and to foster a sense of resilience and self-confidence. By letting them tinker and experiment with the world around them, we empower them to learn and grow in a safe and fun environment. We understand that not every experiment will work the first time, but it is through this trial and error that children are able to develop their computational thinking and problem solving skills. These are some of the activities we tried this week.

01

Make a hologram projector

We used instructions from the Art of Education University that can be found from the link below.

02

Air pressure experiment

We used the concept of launching a rocket out of a plastic disposable water bottle to launch a our paper drawing of a puppy across the room. The idea was inspired by Science Sparks, visit the website from the link below.

03

Build a suspension bridge

In this experiment, we used design thinking to build a bridge that could be raised to allow traffic to pass underneath the bridge. We didn't use a resource for our build but PBS offers a good lesson plan for building suspension bridges which can be found from the link below.
