Workshops and Training
Here at Tech & Play we are all about getting together to share our passion for STEAM learning.
We believe that children are most engaged and inspired to learn when they are playing. All our experiences are therefore interactive, involve building & problem solving in teams. We have learnt that these are important elements for fostering creativity and individual expression.
Working in teams develops social, emotional, collaboration and communication skills. Design thinking is part of all activities as children are encouraged to tinker, and prototype which are important elements of any innovation process.
Each lesson is designed with clear learning objectives. In addition to learning about engineering, coding, robotics and computational thinking the topic of digital intelligence is at the heart of all interactions. Developing strong digital citizens is an important objective and the topics of digital literacy, skills and readiness are taught using the DQ Standards.
Our classes are limited to no more than 10 to 12 participants to ensure every child receives maximum attention and answers to their specific questions. To ensure that content is relevant, classes are divided by age group (4- 6, 6 – 8, 8 -10).
Our robots were selected following extensive research, so children get to work with a wide range of exciting and proven robotic products.
